Job Summary:
We are excited to announce an opportunity for a skilled and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team at Issa Speech Therapy Clinic. As a leading provider of speech therapy services, we are expanding our offerings to include occupational therapy services, and we are seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist to join us as a 1099 contractor.
Position Overview:
As an Occupational Therapist Contractor, you will play a vital role in enhancing our clinic's services by providing occupational therapy assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering high-quality interventions to our clients. You will collaborate closely with our speech therapists and other team members to ensure a holistic and integrated approach to client care. This is a flexible and autonomous role, allowing you to manage your own caseload and schedule.
Job Type:
This is currently a part-time position with the potential to transition into a full-time role in the future, based on business needs and performance.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations to assess clients' strengths, challenges, and functional abilities.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, client goals, and evidence-based practice.
Implement therapeutic interventions to improve clients' fine motor skills, sensory integration, cognitive abilities, and activities of daily living.
Provide client and caregiver education and training to promote skill development and carry-over of therapy techniques at home.
Document evaluation findings, treatment progress, and discharge summaries in a timely and accurate manner.
Collaborate effectively with our speech therapists and other team members to ensure coordinated care and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Maintain compliance with relevant legal, ethical, and professional standards.
Qualifications:
Master's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
Current state license/certification as an Occupational Therapist.
Experience working as an Occupational Therapist, preferably in a pediatric or rehabilitation setting.
Bilingual in Arabic, Spanish, or Urdu (recommended but not required)
Strong knowledge of assessment tools, treatment techniques, and intervention strategies relevant to occupational therapy.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport with clients, caregivers, and team members.
Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize multiple tasks.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying abreast of current research and best practices in occupational therapy.
