Job Summary:
Issa Speech Therapy Clinic is seeking a skilled and passionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team as an independent contractor. As an SLP, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating communication disorders in individuals ages 2+ years. This position offers flexibility and the opportunity to work collaboratively with a diverse group of clients in various settings (school and clinic) . The ideal candidate will be motivated, compassionate, and dedicated to providing high-quality speech therapy services.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments:
Administer standardized tests, interviews, and observations to evaluate speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.
Analyze assessment results and report writing to determine the nature and extent of the communication impairment.
Develop individualized treatment plans:
Establish specific goals and objectives based on assessment findings and the individual needs of clients.
Create treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based therapy techniques and strategies.
Collaborate with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure treatment plans are personalized and effective.
Provide speech therapy services:
Deliver therapy to individuals with communication disorders.
Utilize a variety of therapy techniques, exercises, and activities to address speech, language, voice, & fluency difficulties.
Monitor progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
Maintain accurate documentation:
Document evaluation results, treatment plans, progress notes, and other necessary paperwork in a timely manner.
Ensure compliance with legal and ethical guidelines related to client confidentiality and record-keeping.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams:
Communicate effectively with clients, their families, physicians, educators, and other professionals involved in the care of the client.
Participate in team meetings and case conferences to discuss client progress, goals, and treatment strategies.
Stay updated on advancements in the field:
Engage in continuous professional development to enhance clinical skills and stay current with research and best practices in speech-language pathology.
Attend workshops, conferences, and training sessions related to the field of speech therapy.
Requirements:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
Bilingual in Arabic, Spanish, or Urdu (recommended but not required)
Experience working with individuals with a variety of communication disorders.
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Organizational skills to manage caseload and maintain accurate documentation.
Ability to work independently and demonstrate a high level of professionalism and reliability.
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to different locations as needed.
